Professor. S. Somasekharan Nayar
Took his B.Sc degree in 1962 from U.C. College, Aluva, (then part of the Kerala University) and B.L. degree from the Government Law College Ernakulam, Kerala University in 1964 and M.L. degree in 1966. He had been lecturer at the Government Law College, Hubli and then at the University of Dharwar. He is a member of the teaching faculty of the Academy right from its inception and served as Principal of the Academy from 1998 to 2008. He is an expert in Constitutional Law and his explanations and interpretations of the principles of British and Indian Constitutional Law are original and critical. He teaches constitutional Law, Conflict of Law and Administrative Law at the Academy. Presently he is visiting Professor at the Academy. He has several research articles to his credit. His areas of interest are constitutional Law and Administrative Law.
